Who I am

Hi there! My name is Bri. In 2019 I stepped into a counseling office for the first time, feeling nervous and vulnerable. My decision to ask for help and the healing I then experienced led me to then offer that same space to others. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I believe you too (or your child) will find value and healing in the face of authenticity, curiosity, and connectedness.

I love what I do. If you’ll do me the honor, I’d love to bear witness to your story & help you create the life you want.

My qualifications

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A)

Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Clemson University in 2017

Masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell in 2023

EMDR trained in 2024

Working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), estimated completion in February 2026

Member of the Amercian Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Play Therapy (APT)

Specialties and Interests

As a counselor, I have had experience with many different people and lived experiences. I love working across the lifespan with a variety of issues. My style is integrative, borrowing from different approaches backed and validated by research. I am happy to tailor my approach to each individual client’s needs.

I have experience using Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

  • CCPT is appropriate for ages 4 and up. The recommended treatment length for best outcomes is 24 weekly sessions. It can be effective in addressing behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and a variety of other issues. My personal approach also involves parent sessions (parents/caregivers only) every 4-6 weeks.

  • Together I work with teens to create an open and honest space to talk. In treatment, I tend to utilize CBT and DBT techniques to equip clients with skills to emotionally regulate, reduce anxiety, and improve mood.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a complex treatment method, useful for many issues, but especially useful for trauma. I am able to use this method for single- and multiple-event traumas.
